Kevin Klimas Named Vice-Chair of the Background Screening Credentialing Council

June 02, 2010

Kevin Klimas, president and founder of Phoenix-based employment screening firm Clarifacts, was recently elected vice-chair of the Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC) of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). Klimas was elected to the one-year term by members of the BSCC and is a founding member of NAPBS.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most talented people in NAPBS on important programs such as best practices and serving alongside them on the accreditation task force,” said Kevin Klimas, president and founder of Clarifacts. “Having been on the Council since its inception last year, I am looking forward to serving as an officer and furthering the accreditation process within our industry.”

In his role as vice-chair, Klimas is responsible for assisting the chair, Catherine Aldrich, in leading the Council and in advancing its mission to uphold rigorous standards of accreditation for the background screening industry. Previously, Klimas served as the chairman of the standards committee for the BSCC, which was created to ensure accredited firms meet or exceed standards of competency in integrity, security, consumer privacy and legal compliance.

"Kevin is clearly dedicated to this cause as is evidenced by his years of service within NAPBS and in his passion for the accreditation of the background screening industry as a whole,” said Bruce Berger, past chair of BSCC. “His dedication and passion, combined with his incredible attention to detail, will serve the Council well as it strives for a wide-spread rollout of accreditation this coming year.”
